To download materials for Workshops at the Annual Meeting, get a list of the items to download from the workshop leader and then use your ftp agent to download those items. If your ftp (file transfer protocol) agent is Microsoft's FTP (c:\windows\system32\ftp), then run that and at the prompt type in open ftp.caneweb.net. For user enter download and for password enter ruth2008. When you are entered you can use dir to see the items. Use "lcd" to set up the place where you want the items downloaded onto your computer, e.g. lcd c:\downloads if you have created a folder named "downloads" on your C drive. Then type get item where 'item' is the full name (case-sensitive) of each item that you want to download. Good luck. |
| Be sure to contact the webmaster and get his ok before uploading any material (sending him a list of the files involved), because the webmaster will check this site periodically and remove any unauthorized material, and may shut down the download facility if it appears to be misused. Then use the ftp agent of your choice and log into the site using the same login procedures as above. Then upload your material, using the procedures appropriate to your ftp agent.
